Is It Better to Repair an Older Car or Finance a Newer One?
Hi everyone,
This is something I've been debating lately. When an older car starts needing expensive repairs, is it smarter to keep fixing it, or does it make more sense to finance a newer vehicle and hopefully enjoy fewer maintenance headaches?
I don't think there's a single right answer because it depends on the condition of the car, your budget, and how long you plan to keep it. Sometimes a major repair can give an older vehicle several more years of reliable service, while other times it feels like you're constantly paying for the next problem.
When making the decision, these are the factors I usually consider:
The total cost of upcoming repairs
The car's current market value
